Liam uncensored...

Sunday July 29th... a family afternoon in Ciutat Vella, Barcelona, as seen through the eyes of Liam (then aged 4 and 11 months).

Liam asked could he be the one taking the photos for a while and I thought, why not?

So (old) camera in hand (and safely attached to a strap around his neck!), he snapped away all afternoon.

This is the result:

Malachy turns 3!

Did you miss my birthday? I turned 3 on 27th July!
We had my party in the Parc de la Ciutadella in Barcelona.
It was a joint party with our friend Dani, who was 6 on that day too!
All of our old friends came... and we had the BEST TIME :)

Mummy and Daddy decorated the park and set up the tables with food and all kinds of goodies!

While everything was getting going, Liam and I played with our old buddies Aina and Mariona.

Malachy proved to be the real party animal ;)

Hadi came too!

... and Rita and Nico and Muna and Max and Arnau and Georgina and Irene and Violeta and Martina and Jan and Ada and Uma.... and their mummies and daddies and some grannies and aunties too... and.... phew, many more...

The best part was when the magician performed for us! We all went and sat under a big tree in front of the Ludoteca and sang a song while we waited for the show...

Lorcan had a bird's-eye view from up on Jorge's shoulders!

I was happy in amongst the crowd.

Then the magician got Dani and me up to help him do his first trick. And then everyone sang "Happy Birthday" to us! *(I can't remember why I took off my trousers... I think it was the heat!!!!)

There were all kinds of fun tricks.... we really wish we knew HOW he does that magic!

We were just so entralled.

Liam got up on stage too!

The mums and dads enjoyed it as well.

There was quite a crowd under the trees, watching the show.

After the show it was BIRTHDAY CAKE time! Look at that chocolate... it was so yum.

3 candles for Malachy and 6 for Dani.

"For he's a jolly good fellow, for he's a jolly good fellow....

Everyone went diving for a piee... but I just ate the strawberry jellies on top instead ;)

Ah, you're only 3 once.

So much party fun

:)
