Hadiyatu and Liam go to the same crèche. Although they aren't in the same class, they're great friends. Hadi and her mum, Elena, and dad, Ousenou, who's from Senegal, gave Liam a yembe drum for his first birthday. I think it must have been THE best birthday present ever because Liam still plays it with a passion today. For his second birthday they gave him a colourful African outfit, which we had to hide when the winter came in because he insisted on wanting to wear the shorts every day!!!
