Look who else came to visit us in Llames de Pría. Unai...

...and his lovely girlfriend Iria.

Iria was visiting from Galicia so Asturias was the perfect half-way point for a stop on their journey to Bilbao.

Those yummy coconut cookies were baked by Iria and originally intended as a gift for Unai's niece and nephew. But, ahem, we somehow devoured them all before they even got across the border!! Fortunately, she made more for them later :)

We had a late-night barbecue at the holiday house while the kiddos were in bed. I remember it so well because that was when I got my new Canon digital reflex camera!!! A belated birthday present that Jaime had been keeping as a surprise for me. Unai, being in the photography business, had got it for him at sale price (thanks, Unaiciouss!).

The photos here, though, are still taken with my year-old point-and-shoot Panasonic (which is still going strong, by the way!). I decided to carefully safeguard my valuable new toy throughout the holidays and wait till I got home to actually learn how to use it!

So when we finally get up to date around here, hopefully you'll enjoy the difference in picture quality as much as we do... stay posted.
