We had a busy day today. We got up, had a Saturday morning family breakfast and then got on our bikes and headed to the beach (we now have two new sets of wheels and Liam has a big new rear child seat that he's mad about!) . We stopped at the Nova Icaria playground on the way to feed Malachy and let Liam doss on the climbing frames and slides. The beach was great fun. It was a splendid summer morning and the water was just gorgeous. Liam wasn't big into swimming per sé, he was more into messing around on the shore.
Malachy sat in the shade and had a lovely nap for most of the time we were there. Then he awoke and had his lunch (always seems to be eating, doesn't he?!) and a splash in the sea with Mammy. The sun was getting high in the sky at that stage (in fact I ended up getting burnt -I was so worried about dousing the boys in sun cream that I forgot to protect myself!!!) so we decided to head home. After a dinner of roast chicken and watercress and tomato salad Liam and I went shopping for the ingredients for these: our Chewy Choco Rice Crispie and Raisin Treats!
