Budding artists!

They were having such a good time together that Liam invited Aina to stay for supper. We decided to let them try their first sleepover experiment and Aina was all for it! Yes! She really wanted to stay and sleep in Liam's new room and Liam really wanted her to stay too! She happily said her goodbyes to her mum and dad and played away with Liam till suppertime. They both had a romantic supper for two (of fish and potatoes) over the dinner table. They happily donned their pyjamas and headed into bed. That was when the unhappy part came. Our usually independent, fearless, happy-go-lucky and fancy free Aina started to cry. She wanted her mama. She sobbed and sobbed. I took her out of the bed and said that, as a special treat, we could go and watch some of "Snow White". That worked for a while but then sleepyhead Liam grabbed a cushion and lay down to sleep on the sofa (not a man to last for very long after his bedtime). When poor Aina saw that he was about to go to sleep and abandon her, she was off again... poor pet. We ended up resorting to calling Silvia and Amadeu, who came back to pick her up. Maybe it was a little too soon for a sleepover... or maybe we should have planned it a few days in advance. Liam still keeps asking me why was Aina crying. I'm sure that with a bit of preparation, we'll have better luck next time.
