luisaionora in dublin

We took these two kissing cousins into town for a look around Dublin city with Luis and Saoia...

Travelling on the new tram: the Luas (meaning 'light' in Irish)

First stop St. Stephen's Green

On the bridge over the lake in Stephen's Green
Buggy buddies getting chauffeured around town!

Next stop: Grafton Street!
The new Phil Lynott statue (of Thin Lizzy fame) on Harry Street.

...past all the trendy shops...

... along Dame street...

... and on down to Temple Bar

Saioa on cobblestoned Crown Alley

Since it was such a fleeting visit, we were stuck for time. It was nice to take a leisurely stroll around though. Here's Luis walking by the Temple Bar pub.

Walking up in the drizzling rain towards Dublin Castle.

Time for a coffee break.

eeeeooo

By then night had fallen, so we crossed the Ha'penny Bridge and strolled along the hanging walkway and back over O'Connell Bridge, past the Central Bank, Trinity and Molly Malone to Grafton Street again, for a little last minute shopping :)

Lorcan was in great form!

...though a little iffy about staying in the buggy for so long!

Nora had a little nap and woke up thirsty!

The Christmas lights were still hanging on Grafton Street, reading: "Nollaig Shona Duit", Irish for Merry Christmas to you!

family visitors!!

Luis, Saioa and Nora are the first family visitors we've had from Euskadi since we moved! They came for a few days over New Year's and we were delighted to have them here with us. We can't wait for them to come back for a longer stay soon!
Nora has already flown all the way to see her aunty and uncle in San Francisco so the short flight to Dublin was a breeze. Here she is seettling in...
A hearty Irish breakfast for Luis!

For the first few hours, Nora was shy with her auntie Vanessa, uncle Jaime and her cousins...

...but faces like these soon got her laughing!

Snuggling in the morning :)

It's so nice to have more ladies around. The boys love it!

Here they were posing and doing animal imitations with Saioa and Nora...

Lying around on a playmat with Nora (although it looks like it was mainly Malachy who was into the idea!)

More animals (pity about the sound effects)

Malachy playing and loving with his uncle Luis :)

And here's Saioa bringing out the budding artists in our boys. Together they made this acrylic on canvas, which they entitled "I am a lion, I roar all day"...! Liam sketched the lion in pencil first, then Saioa outlined it with black paint and then they coloured together. The result is on display in our living room... Roar!

supple's christmas drinks party

On December 27th we all went to the Supple's traditional christmas drinks party.

The new generation of party guests in growing uncontrollably!!

So between the Supples, the Robinsons and the Jambrinas, we've now got 8!(from top left): Ella, Liam, Fiachra, Malachy, Caoimhe, Oscar, Aoife and Lorcan!

This is proud Daddy Declan with baby Aoife

Aoife liked doing the rounds with the men..!

Some dedicated daddies and some of their boys

Marion: were you trying to swipe my party partner from me?

Liam loves it when he gets to play at parties...

Especially if you can chase around with bigger boys!

...and learn new tricks from them!

Cute cousins Ella and Caoimhe

Malachy and Lorcan took a liking to Anita :)

And to Declan...!

puppet show on st. stephen's day

On St. Stephen's day, we left Lorcan with Granny and Granddad for the afternoon and went to Monkstown to our favourite puppet theatre: Lambert's to see Jack and the Beanstalk

The kids always loooove joining in on the "he's behind you" cues!

And of course, Liam's favourite part is Mr. Lambert's stand-up ventriloquist performance with his dog Judge

Humpty Dumpty sat on a... sausage! Liam's favourite comic line :P

A (blurry) scene from Jack and the Beanstalk :o

Christmas Day at the Jamrobber's!!

Guess what?: The snacks we left out for Santa Claus and Rudolph before going to bed on Christmas Eve...
... were gone the next morning!!!
That meant only one thing...
YES!!! Santa Claus had come to the Jamrobber's house after all!!
So first it was time check out the goodies in our Christmas stockings...

And then after breakfast, we ventured into the living room and WOW!!! It was full of pressies!!!
There was a pile for Liam...

a pile for Malachy...

... and a pile for Lorcan too (that was even bigger than he was!)

The boys couldn't belive their luck!

Christmas is cool!

I think I could really get into this!

And so lots and LOTS of unwrapping ensued. Liam was so excited he wanted to open everything straight away and we had to work hard to calm him down. Malachy, on the other hand, doesn't like to get flustered and he preferred to open his presents slowly, one by one. In fact, days after Christmas he still had several unopened presents sitting under the tree!

Granddad arrived later in the morning to join in on the fun!

The boys showed off their toys and played all day :)

And Jaime and Vanessa Jamrobbers got working on our first full Irish Christmas dinner! Look at that bird!

So, with Granny, Granddad and Great-Granddad here, we all sat down for a yummy Christmas dinner... ho ho ho

... which we all thoroughly enjoyed :)

Maybe we should get a smaller one next year?!

Sweet Christmas (well, everyday) moments to share...

I love you Daddy xxx

The cutest Christmas angel in the WORLD!
