Saoia taught Liam to count in Basque. Bat, bi, iru, lau, bost, se, saspi, bederatzi, amar...! (the spelling might not be perfect there!). Since then, whenever we walk up the stairs to our flat Liam starts off: "bost, se, saspi, bederatzi... like Saioa says, Mammy!"...
