donosti '08 !

I always mix up the three beaches in Donosti (Ondarreta, Gros and La Concha). I'm pretty sure this is Ondarreta... but correct me if I'm wrong!

We couldn't let our holiday go by without a visit to Gipuzkoa!

Our bodyboarding dudes were dying to hit the surf ;)

Nora and co. arrives shortly after us... and brought some friends... these cute twins called Dante and Alejo.
Lorcan took the lead and started off a game of "Un, dos, tres... carabababá"...

Fun was had by all!

Back in Usurbil, the kiddy supper table was full that evening!

The next day we went to Gros (that is Gros isn't it?). It was a greyer day and later on a storm blew up... but we still had time for a quick dip!

Here comes the rain....

... so we made our exit fast!

A little drenched after the summer shower, we went shopping for fish in town.

And stopped for a quick mosto before heading back to Usurbil for the night.

The next morning, a jam session kept us all entertained!

a holiday within a holiday

Noemí came to see us for the weekend while we were on our hols! Here she is making Maia giggle. She's good at that!

We all went to Gallarta for lunch with Abuela, Nacho, Luis, Saioa and the girls too.

After lunch, we took the kids to the playground.

Maia was happy to be out and about.

Abuela came too!

And then we met up with cousin Jon as well.

Mi primo... el de zumosol ;)

Back in Romo, the fiestas were on...!

The boys checking out the "txotznas"... in cahoots with Naia, no less!

The boys spent the night in Gallarta with Abuela that night... and Mummy and Daddy had a night off to party with Unai and Noemí :)

Yes, there was some dancing involved....!!

And even a group (automatic timer) self portrait!
ha ha ha!

Laga with Ane and Jon

Scenes from Amorebieta. The look of boredom says "when can we get to the swimming pool?"...

Here we are in the park by the river in Amorebieta, sharing a "palmera" fresh from the local bakery.

And relaxing on these cool climbing structures...

Alright! We're headed to the local pool... :)

When Unai got off work for lunch, we had ourselves a picnic by the pool...

tortilla con pimientos verdes.... summer heaven!

Then Unai picked up his niece Ane and nephew Jon and we headed, in convoy, to the beautiful beach of Laga.
One of the best days of the hols:
