Michelle and Luca came over for dinner on St. Stephen's Day night. We had a yummy lamb and cous-cous meal made by Jaime -which was a nice change from all the turkey and ham!

It was great to finally have Michelle and Luca over!

The Italian-Spanish language 'barrier' of sorts didn't stop the guys from enjoying some stimulating conversation.

The next day we got all the kids together with Michelle and went to Kilbogget park to run and play and (ahem, freeze our bums off too)!

Peter is grown-up and soooo tall now!

Anna is the sweetest kid. She was so great with our "little" boys.

Lorcan was just hanging around, as usual.

Watching the big kids do their thing...

Later we came home, warmed up and ate lots of pasta together!

These really are a great bunch of kids!

And, he sure did! Just look at all those pressies! And that fancy sceen thing over there in the corner is our new iMac! We got everything on our wish list :)

A pirate ship!!

Costumes and puppets!

A dinosaur adventure!

And a really cool puppet theatre!

We had a gorgeous festive meal...

And home-made Christmas pudding for dessert!

And we shared it all with the family!

off to see the wizard

Guess where we went on the Saturday before Christmas? Yes... it was concert time! At The Helix

Well, actually, no it wasn't actually "concert" time... it was movie AND concert time all rolled into one!

Have you ever seen a film with a full orchestra playing the score live in front of you?

Well we have! And it was an amazing experience!

And the film was none other than....
- drum roll please -

Everyone has seen it, so I wont' go into the story. But, just to jog your memory a little, here are some key frames by way of synopsis...

You'll have to imagine how amazing it was for the storm scene music to be thundered out by the orchestra live on stage in front of the screen!

Amazingly enough, during the quieter, calmer scenes, you'd almost forget the orchestra was there. The actors' voices were unchanged, of course... it was just the recorded music that was replaced by the orchestral version.

And, yes, the wicked witch was just as wicked as she always is!
