a cold day in the park

Another brisk (some might say 'cold') winter day in Cabinteely park.

We don't care if it's cold... we just wrap up and go.

There's so much to see. We like doing the full route and stopping to admire the huge old trees.

Even the ones that have been chopped down. (Actually, I think they fell down in a storm and were later chopped up).

travelling mammasitas...

Two travelling mammas. Noreen and I went spent a fleeting girlie weekend in Barcelona last December. No kids, no fellas, no time constraints, just a leisurely weekend away :D

we did a little sightseeing,

a little shopping...

and socialising.... with the original Mammasitas, Laia and Silvia :)

It was coming up to Christmas so the city looked particularly pretty at night.

Supporting my theory that there's nothing a nice few sweets can't cure (*wink*!!), this new shop has opened by the cathedral in Barcelona.

'goode' times

We spent a lovely Sunday afternoon with the Goodes (Rachel, Robert, Elliot, Dylan and Jasmine) back in December. Guess what the kids favourite part of the day was?!

The beautiful Jasmine was fine with being the only girl amongst all the boys!

Robert cooked us a gorgeous Mediterranean meal on the Aga.

It was lovely to see Rachel again.

Lorcan made a new canine friend :)

greystones

Greystones is a picturesque little seaside town not far into County Wicklow. Although the residential areas surrounding it are sprawling further and further in every direction, the little port still conserves its old charm. We went for a drive there one morning with Malachy and Lorcan. It was freezing outside, so many of these photos are taken from the car... but we thought you might like to have a look.
